SUITES MOVING FORWARD
We have been given the official ‘go ahead’ to move beyond the Rural Hospice Solution pilot project which we proposed over two years ago.
We have learned so much in our last year with the Hospice Suites at Sunrise Encore, and we look forward to better serving the needs of our local communities as we continue to support those facing end of life.
Through the next few months we are looking to connect with others in our community who have an interest and are a participant in the care and support of individuals and families who are facing a palliative diagnosis. We would like to share the opportunities available through the suites, the process of access and some of the success stories that have evolved in the past 12 months.

April 16, 2016 is National SPEAK UP day! Every year on April 16th, the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association promotes this opportunity to ‘have the conversation’ with your loved ones about your wishes for future health and personal care. This is a subject that should not wait until there is a need. Help relieve the stress at crisis moments by having the conversation when you are healthy!!
April 30, 2016 is our HIKE DAY!! We are celebrating our 5th
Annual Hike for Hospice. Note that this year we hike on a SATURDAY! Please join us on April 30th as we run, walk and stroll together to raise awareness and funds for hospice palliative care. As always, 100% of the money raised remains right here, in our own communities.
