March 17, 2023 marked Olds & District Hospice Society’s first free Invitation to “Wills & Estates” Presentation by Dan McPherson of Elevator Law. Twenty-nine participants from Olds and the surrounding area came out to learn and lunch.
Another first for the Society that afternoon; an official Death Café, where intentional conversation about “loss” was appreciated by a smaller group of twelve. An exquisite chocolate cake was served with coffee and tea, accompanied by helpful conversation starters.
The Society received great feedback and witnessed a definite benefit to our community as a whole. Recognizing both the need for financial preparation at end of life, and a safe place to grieve, Olds & District Hospice Society will be offering the same opportunity Saturday, March 16, 2024.
